**Community Groups**

ComeOUT&Play: Social networking group for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgenered 20- to 30-somethings in New Jersey. While based at the Pride Center of New Jersey in Highland Park, events are scheduled throughout the entire Garden State.  Learn more....

Lesbians and Gay Men of New Brunswick: Social, educational, rap, potlucks, for everyone. Meets second & fourth Tuesdays @ 8:00 p.m. Email njrj@aol.com for info.

Long Yang Club-New Jersey: For gay Asians and Pacific Islanders and their friends. E-mail newjersey@longyangclub.org for more info. Second Saturdays, 7:30pm.

New Jersey Furs : A social group that meets in a safe space to discuss ideas.  A public community, anyone is welcome to inquire or join.  Most members are gay or bisexual.  Meets second and fourth Saturdays at 2pm.

Orthodykes (On Hiatus until Fall 2009): Helping women who are traditional Jews and lesbian, bisexual or transgender live at peace with those two aspects of identity.  Meets third Sundays, 7:30 - 9:00pm.

OWLS-Older Wilder Lesbians: Group of mature lesbians who meet to socialize, plan group outings and have fun. Meets third Fridays @ 7:30 p.m.

Stonewall Democrats: The New Jersey Stonewall Democrats (NJSD) is the state organization of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex Democrats and their allies and friends. NJSD is committed to its mission of improving the responsiveness of the Democratic Party and Democratic officeholders to our communities' issues and to educating voters on the vast difference between the two major parties that exists on issues of importance to our communities. We are an affiliate of National Stonewall Democrats. Meets 4th Tuesdays at 7pm


**Support Groups**

Men's Coming Out Group: A moderated discussion group for issues related to coming out as gay or bisexual men. Men vote on the topic of the day. Meets every Wednesday at 7:30 pm. Send e-mail to njwarrior@aol.com for more info.

RainboWomen: 2nd & 4th Thursday, 6:30 - 8:30pm.  Provides a forum for gay women to come together and find emotional support in a relaxed atmosphere through informal discussion and social activities. It's a group dedicated to providing a comfortable place for gay women to meet and talk with others who may be experiencing some of the challenges unique to our lifestyle. Women who are newly identifying as gay, those who have known since childhood, those who are out, not out, married (in a heterosexual or gay relationship), single, divorced, with or without children, and bisxeual are all encouraged to join.

TrueSelves:3rd Sunday, 4 -6 PM.  A facilitated support group exclusively for and about transgender-identified individuals, regardless of where on the transgender spectrum you believe you live.  TrueSelves is a safe place where you can share your feelings and experiences in an open, non-judgmental and accepting atmosphere. **Health Support**

NJ LGBT Cancer Support Group: A discussion group in which LGBT cancer survivors, patients under active treatment, and their caregivers and family members come together to share their experiences, knowledge, concerns, fears, and hopes in a supportive and respectful environment. Overeater's Anonymous: Mondays, 7:30pm.  A program of recovery for compulsive overeaters using the 12 Steps and 12 Traditions.  The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop eating compulsively. **PCNJ Resources**

Infoline: Need a gay-friendly doctor? Therapist? Auto mechanic? You’re a phone call away from finding local businesses, service providers, and organizations that are either lesbigay-owned or lesbigay-friendly. Our volunteers work hard to maintain our business database, and will be happy to assist you over the phone in finding a referral. Call our Infoline at 732-846-2232.  Hours of operation: Monday - Friday 7 - 10pm, some weekend hours.  These hours are reliant on volunteer availability to cover these shifts.  If you are interested in helping out, please fill out a volunteer application at: http://www.pridecenter.org/getinvolved/volunteer.shtml

Library & Information Center: Borrow lesbigay books, magazines, videos and other periodicals from our lending library. Read up on the latest happenings and special events in the NJ-PA-NYC region, and help yourself to free eriodicals such as PGN and Out In Jersey. Check out apartment listings and job opportunities. Post your business card!

Roommate Listings: A bulletin board is available at The Pride Center, for posting Roommate Wanted listings. Feel free to call 732-846-2232 to have a volunteer create a listing for you, or to review listings available. Also please make use of our online roommate listing service. Listings posted online will automatically be deleted after 90 days. Note that the online listings may differ from those posted at The Center.


**Recreation and Social Activities**

Rock Hero Night: Do you have rock star dreams? Ever wanted to form your own band? Well, the Pride Center of New Jersey has a night just for you. Every fourth Friday of the month bring your skills to room 4 and join Amanda and Jennifer for a night of Rock Band and Guitar Hero. It does not matter your skill level just be prepared to have fun and rock out. All ages are welcome. We have the gear to rock out, but feel free to bring your own gear if you got it. We rock from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. There is a suggested $3.00 donation for the Pride Center. The first jam night is September 24, 2010. See you there.

Women's Coffee House: Entertainment, Food, Fun, Coffee! See Calendar for scheduled performers. Meets first Saturdays at 7:00p.m. 

Monthly Men's Social: Monthly social for men with light refreshements, entertainment.  Opportunity for guys to meet, socialize and network in a setting that is not a bar or religious in nature.  Meets 4th Saturday, 7pm. 

"Out of the Box" Open Mic Night: Calling all musicians, dancers, comedians, poets, bicycle jugglers and unboxable performers. An open-mic and showcase series for all types of performance hosted by Pandora Scooter. Light gnosh and low-octane beverages served.
