Health Education and awareness are integral parts of the mission of The Pride Center in promoting the well being of the LGBTQ community. The community suffers a disparity in health issues and quality care. We encourage everyone to be proactive in seeking and obtaining appropriate preventative treatment and medical services.
The Center offers health information, resources, and Health Education Programming to raise awareness and promote healthy behaviors and outcomes. Health Education Programs include topics such as:
- Safe sexual practices
- HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment
- Mental health awareness
- Anti-harassment, bullying & intimidation utilizing latest standards
- Free and confidential HIV testing
